Ownership transfer changes who controls the company. It is not the same as promoting someone to manager. Choose the intended active member and make sure both people have finished any open attendance sessions.
The outgoing owner becomes a normal employee immediately. The incoming owner stops participating in staff attendance. Historical attendance, breaks and recorded corrections remain attached to the same membership history.
Transfer and prepare the outgoing owner for staff work
Open Organization settings as the current owner.
Choose the active member who should become owner and read the transfer confirmation carefully.
Complete the transfer only after checking the recipient.
The new owner should assign an active branch and appropriate schedule to the outgoing owner if they will work as staff.
Prepare an approved attendance phone browser for that employee before their next shift.
If the company is closing
Export required records first. Organization settings offers company deletion with an explicit confirmation and fresh password verification. Everyone must clock out, and any linked subscription must meet the cancellation requirements shown on screen.
Scheduling deletion freezes the workspace for a 30-day recovery period. The owner can restore it from their account settings before the displayed deadline. Old invitation links and manager grants should not be assumed to reactivate.
After the recovery deadline, the workspace cannot be restored through the normal product flow. Deleting a company does not delete every member’s personal account.
